Canada Tops World’s Work Destination List Per Givetastic’s Study
Canada tops the world’s work destination list. A British company, Givetastic, recently conducted a study in which Canada ranks as the global leader in terms of employment choices. Here’s what the report means and its assessment process.
Canada Tops World’s Work Destination List
Givetastic chose the dream destination to work abroad for practically every country by assessing the average monthly search volume for matching terms like “Work” and “Job” and using translation where appropriate.
The study surveyed individuals across 164 countries and spotlighted Canada’s attraction, which is fueled by various factors. These include strong healthcare, a thriving job market, and employee benefits.
Notably, 56 countries (34.1% of the world’s countries) chose Canada as their top choice. This highlights the country’s status as a premier workplace hub.
According to Givetastic’s study, the top dream work preferences include the following nations:
- Canada (top choice in 56 countries)
- Germany (13 countries)
- Qatar (11 countries)
- U.K. (8 countries)
- Switzerland, Australia (7 countries each)
- Spain, U.S. (6 countries each)
- Malta (5 countries)
- Niger, Portugal (4 countries each).
Quebec- A Significant Global Attraction
Giveastic employed the same procedure to find the most famous cities, states, and regions chosen by individuals for work-related emigration.
As per the Google search volume, Dubai ranked as the most famous city chosen by individuals to emigrate to for employment purposes. The study revealed that Dubai was the most popular search term in 69 countries out of 150 countries.
However, Dubai’s closest competitor was Quebec. According to the study, Quebec appeared in the top search in 27 countries out of 150 countries. Countries that preferred Quebec include Mexico, Colombia, Cameroon, and Morocco.
This significantly spotlights Quebec’s popularity in terms of cities globally.
Why Canada Tops World’s Work Destination List?
As per the research conducted by Givetastic, Canada secured the top position as a leading work destination in various countries. These include Ecuador, Kenya, Nigeria, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, the United States, Bangladesh, and Chile.
Canada is a famous immigration destination favored by numerous individuals from overseas, particularly for work and studies.
Reasons for Canada’s popularity
There are several reasons for Canada’s popularity among immigrants globally.
First and foremost, Canada has a high standard of living, typically desired by many individuals. It offers easy access to healthcare and top-class education to all, including Citizens, PRs, and newcomers from across the world.
Secondly, Canada offers a safer and more peaceful environment to live in. In particular, it has a low crime rate, making it a welcoming country for newcomers and their families.
Being among the most diverse nations also makes it a more desirable place to live.
Canada prioritizes inclusiveness and respect for all cultures and religions. This makes it more comfortable for immigrants to immigrate, settle, and incorporate into new communities in Canada.
In addition, by providing a multiplicity of immigration streams, significant sponsorship opportunities, and study and work permit programs, Canada is also committed to establishing a diverse workforce. This guarantees enhanced immigration and, ultimately, the country’s socio-economic growth.
Moreover, Canada has numerous immigration programs popular among immigrants, such as the Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP) and the Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TSWP). These programs offer Canadian permanent residence to qualifying foreign nationals.
According to 2022 data, Canada provided over 437,000 individuals with Canada’s permanent residence status. This was the highest number ever in a single year.
Canada’s immigration levels plan with increased immigration targets
This November, Canada’s immigration department released Canada’s immigration levels plan for 2024-2026.
In 2024, Canada is willing to accept a massive number of 485,000 newcomers for permanent residence. This target will rise to 500,000 each year in 2025 and 2026.
The plan of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is centered on the country’s economic growth and family reunification.
Furthermore, it also aims to address humanitarian crises and identify the rapid increase in immigration in recent years.
