Recently, Canada’s three provinces, including British Columbia, Ontario, and Manitoba, invited candidates in the latest PNP draw.

Each province nominated potential candidates under their specific Provincial Nomination Programs. Discover the latest PNP draw result for each nominating province.

Canada’s PNP Draws

All Canadian provinces have specific Provincial Nomination Programs that they employ to nominate potential candidates. Quebec and Nunavut are the only ones that don’t use PNPs to invite candidates.

PNPs are a significant pathway for economic-class immigrants to move, work, and settle in the nominating provinces.

Notably, all provinces use their separate scoring systems, unrelated to others under their PNPs, for evaluating candidates. This leads to a significant variation in the outcomes of the below PNP draws.

In addition to this, Ontario also held two more draws on January 24, targeting candidates from the Masters Graduate and PhD Graduate streams.

To be considered in these draws, candidates of the Master’s Graduate stream required a minimum score of 50 or more, while the needed score was 45 for the PhD Graduate stream candidates.

On January 19, Ontario declared that it had attained its PNP allocations for 2023.

Notably, Ontario issued 16,500 nominations under the ONIP in all of its streams last year.

Understanding the rising significance of PNP.

The provincial Nominee Programs are expected to take the lead as one of the major economic pathways in Canada, beginning in 2025, despite having a smaller allocation for PNP in the latest immigration level Plan (2024-2026).

With more than allocations of 110,000, the total yearly Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) allocations in Canada are already greater than one-fifth of yearly immigration allocations throughout Canada.

PNPs help to disperse the advantage of immigration throughout the country with a focus on regions where the presence of new immigrants can enhance the smaller regional labor markets and demography.
