Four Canadian provinces invited applicants in the latest draws. All provinces except Quebec and Nunavut have their own Provincial Nominee Programs, which select a number of skilled economic immigration applicants who the local government believes are best suited to help the region address its local labor market challenges and demographic needs.

Note: Quebec does not operate a PNP because its government has a special agreement with the federal government. This agreement enables Quebec to maintain authority over its economic immigration.
