Alberta, BC, Manitoba, and PEI select PNP applicants. Here are the results for the same!

1. Alberta 

On November 21, the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program held a draw under the Alberta Express Entry – Priority Sectors stream, targeting 96 applicants who had a job offer of full-time employment in the Albertan healthcare sector. 

In order to be considered in this draw, applicants required: 

• A minimum score of 42 according to the AAIP scoring criteria
• A valid work permit 
• Language proficiency equivalent to Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) or Niveaux de compétence linguistique canadiens (NCLC) 5 or higher  
• A valid Express Entry profile that expires on April 21, 2025 or later
• A Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of a minimum of 300
• And lastly, job offer of full-time employment for an employer in Alberta in the healthcare sector

2. British Columbia

On November 26, the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program held two immigration draws. 

The first was a general draw across three different immigration streams. Moreover, The Provincial Nominee Program issued seven invitations in total.

Moreover, the second draw took place under the Skilled Worker and International Graduate streams. Also, based on their employment within an in-demand sector of the British Columbia economy, a minimum of four applicants were invited.

3. Manitoba 

On November 22, the Manitoba PNP held three immigration draws under three different streams. 

The first draw took place under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream and issued over 89 invitations to applicants with a minimum score of 840 under the MPNP’s scoring system. Apart from meeting base eligibility for the stream to be considered, applicants also had to have profiled that declared a Manitoba Supporter who: 

• Is a close relative, a Canadian permanent resident, or a citizen
• Is an established resident of Manitoba that has resided in the province for a minimum of one year

Furthermore, the second draw took place under the Skilled Worker Overseas stream and invited over 25 applicants with a minimum score of 617. In addition to meeting the eligibility requirements of this stream, applicants also needed to declare being invited by the MPNP under a strategic recruitment initiative to be considered. 

Moreover, the third draw took place under the International Education Stream and invited 165 applicants who met the eligibility requirements for this stream. 

Of the 279 total applicants in these three draws, 55 also held valid Express Entry profiles. 

4. Prince Edward Island 

On November 21, the Prince Edward Island held the first immigration draw in close to a month, under the Labor and Express Entry stream. 

Moreover, over 59 applicants were invited in this draw. So, to be considered, applicants needed: 

• To be presently working PEI in the province’s healthcare and construction sectors
• To be currently working in PEI’s manufacturing industry, with a work permit expiring in 2024. 

Also, the province has issued 113 invitations over the past 12 months.
