Canada Invites Applicants In The Latest PNP Express Entry Draw
IRCC issued ITAs in the most recent Express Entry draw. The department issued 400 ITAs in a Canadian Experience Class Draw. applicants needed a minimum score of 547 in order to be considered. This is the highest CRS for CEC draws so far this year. Moreover, Canada invites applicants in the latest PNP Express Entry draw. The department issued 733 ITAs in a Provincial Nominee Program-aligned draw.
The recent draw is the first of November and follows the release of Canada’s Immigration Levels Plan for 2025. Under the Plan, IRCC aims to welcome over 124,680 Express Entry applicants next year.
Those who received an ITA will be considered in targets for next year, either via the newly introduced In-Canada Focus targets for Express Entry applicants or the Federal Economic Priorities category.
The In-Canada focus target of 82,980 permanent resident admissions will have the biggest impact for temporary residents already residing in Canada. This accounts for approximately 40% of Canada’s overall economic immigration admissions in 2025.
Moreover, many of these applicants will be Express Entry applicants in the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) or Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).
The Federal Economic Priorities target of 41,700 permanent resident admissions will single out applicants from all Express Entry-managed programs. Moreover, IRCC judges these applicants to be the best candidates to fill urgent gaps in healthcare or trade professions or help the department meet its demographic target for French language proficiency among newcomers outside of Quebec.
What Is Express Entry?
Canada invites applicants in the latest PNP Express Entry draw.
Well, Express Entry is an application management system that oversees three prominent economic immigration programs for newcomers seeking permanent residence, i.e., the Federal Skilled Trades Program, the Canadian Experience Class, and the Federal Skilled Worker Program.
Moreover, applicants in these programs are evaluated using the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS).
The CRS assigns point-value scores to applicants based on human capital attributes such as their age, profession, language ability, education, and work experience.
They might also get points for having a sibling in Canada, immigrating with a spouse or partner, or having a combination of education or work experience in Canada and abroad.
Express Entry applicants who apply via the enhanced PNP stream might get an additional 600 points toward their score. This will virtually guarantee that they receive an ITA.
Taken together, these point values add up to an overall CRS score, and those with the highest scores are most likely to get an invitation to apply in an upcoming Express Entry draw (provided they are eligible under the draw-type/ category).
