Recently, Canada’s five provinces released the latest provincial draw results inviting PNP candidates. The nominating provinces include British Columbia, Quebec, Alberta, Manitoba & Prince Edward Island (PEI).

In Canada, almost all provinces and territories have their regional immigration programs called PNPs or Provincial Nominee Programs through which they invite economic candidates.

PNPs were designed to allow each participating province and territory to invite potential immigrants who can help local government address their market needs and demographic challenges.

The only exception to this is Quebec and Nunavut. They do not have a PNP in place. This is because Quebec’s government has a special agreement with the Canadian government. This gives Quebec’s regional government authority over its economic immigration.
