The Entrepreneur Regional Pilot Program is now permanent in B.C. The program has now transformed into the Entrepreneur Immigration Regional Stream. Qualifying new immigrants seeking to begin their business in their province and reside permanently in British Columbia can now choose another pathway when applying for immigration.

British Columbia’s Entrepreneur Immigration Streams and their functions

Entrepreneur Immigration programs under the British Columbia PNP enable international entrepreneurs to begin businesses and reside permanently in British Columbia. The BC Provincial Nominee Program seeks businesses that assist new developments and economic progress within the province.

Entrepreneur class immigration, including the E.I. Regional Stream, is a T.R. to P.R. pathway. This further indicates that applicants who gain approval under this program first acquire temporary residence status to reside and work in Canada before finally shifting to Permanent Residency status. This also happens after they have established their business successfully.

The EI Regional Entrepreneur Stream applies to international entrepreneurs who look forward to beginning their small businesses within a small community. They wish to begin their business as a source of development in the regional areas of British Columbia.

As an intrinsic part of the program, communities will actively take part in the business by identifying the business types as priorities. Potential candidates must visit the community they seek to work with and be given a community contact to establish the early stages of the entire procedure.

Furthermore, entrepreneurs must obtain a referral if they seek to settle and begin a business in the community. Additionally, they must be able to register and apply under the EI Regional Stream.

EI Regional Stream and its eligibility criteria

To be able to apply under the EI Regional Stream, entrepreneurs must fulfill the following conditions:

  • Have an established new business that is aligned perfectly with the priorities of the referring community.
  • Display that you have considerable experience in business and management.

Suppose candidates fulfill the conditions and possess the essential business experience that a community seeks. In that case, they must be free to connect with them using the details mentioned on the community’s profile page.
