Five Canadian Province’s PNP results from May 13–19
Canada’s five provinces, including Ontario, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, Manitoba, and PEI, have issued invitations to apply under the PNP.
Except for Quebec and Nunavut, Canada’s provincial nomination program permits all provinces and territories to nominate economic immigration applicants who can easily integrate with the provincial workforce as well as economically establish themselves within the region.
Since it started in 1998, the program has gained much popularity and success, and now the PNP is the most recognized immigration pathway for Canada’s economic applicants in the immigration levels plan.
Upon the conclusion of 2025, the country aimed to welcome 117,500 candidates each year via the PNP program.
Each province can organize the draws as required, either frequently or infrequently. There isn’t a fixed number of immigrants each province can invite in each draw. The only condition that each province has to meet is that the invitations must not exceed the total number of invitations approved by the IRCC.
PNP Immigration Results from May 13-19.
British Columbia
British Columbia held three draws on May 16 and invited 202 candidates to apply.
In a general draw, 162 candidates were invited from three streams. This suggests that no occupation was targeted in such draws.
In the Skilled Worker category, the applicants required a minimum score of 104, International Graduated required a minimum score of 107, and Semi-Skilled and Entry-Level applicants required a minimum score of 85.
The other two draws required a minimum score of 60 and targeted 29 early childhood teachers and 11 healthcare experts. The draws included Express Entry candidates, candidates from the International Graduate and Skilled Worker categories.
Manitoba
On May 18, the province of Manitoba held a draw and invited candidates from three categories.
Manitoba held two separate draws for Skilled workers. The first draw invited 287 candidates with a minimum CRS score of 610. It was an occupation-specific draw and targeted transport and transit drivers.
The second draw for Skilled workers invited 191 candidates with a minimum score of 701, which was not occupation-specific.
In the Skilled Worker Overseas category, Manitoba invited 27 candidates with a minimum score of 721. In addition, it invited 21 candidates from the International Education stream.
Manitoba recently revealed that the government would provide $4 million to 24 newcomer service provider companies whose projects were chosen via the Newcomer Community Integration Support (NCIS) program.
Ontario
Ontario held a draw on May 18 under the Express Entry Skilled Trades stream for skilled trades applicants.
In the skill trade occupations, Ontario issued 1694 invitations, and the candidates required a minimum score ranging from 250-482.
To qualify under this stream, candidates must have one year of full-time work experience. The experience must meet the following criteria:
- It must have been acquired within the previous two years, which is counted from the application submission date to ONIP.
- It must be in one or more occupations that candidates mentioned in their Express entry profile.
- It must be obtained in the province of Ontario.
Prince Edward Island
PEI held a draw on May 18 and invited 158 candidates. The draw targeted 155 candidates in the Labour and Express Entry stream and 3 in the Business Work Permit Entrepreneur category and required a minimum score of 65.
PEI has shifted away from its traditional practice of holding draws once a month during the previous year. This year it held three draws in March, but it only held one in April.
Saskatchewan
Saskatchewan held its draw on May 18, which was its second draw this month.
It invited 784 Express Entry candidates and 260 candidates under its Occupations In-Demand stream. The minimum required score for both categories was 67. All the nominated applicants needed an ECA, or Educational Credential Assessment.
