Latest Provincial Draw Results of Five Canadian Provinces
Recently, Canada released provincial draw results of five Canadian provinces. The inviting provinces include Ontario, British Columbia, PEI, Manitoba & Quebec.
Four provinces among them, including B.C., PEI, Ontario, and Manitoba, have sent invitations to apply under the Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) in the past two weeks.
During the same time, the province of Quebec has also held two rounds of invitations to invite candidates using its unique provincial immigration system.
Regional governments in Canada run PNPs in all but two provinces to attract skilled overseas nationals who are most qualified to assist their local regions in meeting the labor market and demographic needs.

This section will discuss the provincial draw results of five provinces in Canada that took place between February 17 and March 1. First are the four provinces’ PNP draw results, and then the draw result of Quebec’s provincial immigration system.
Ontario
Ontario held its PNP draw to invite potential candidates called the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). It issued around 2,583 Notifications of Interest (NOIs) to candidates eligible for the OINP’s Skilled Trades stream.
In this draw, Ontario considered candidates with skills in specific trades and occupations. The CRS score that candidates needed to get an NOI in this draw ranged between 350 and 424.
British Columbia
The province of British Columbia held several draws after February 16, 2024. The PNP draw of B.C. is called the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP).
The province held two draws on February 21. One was a general draw, and the other included a group of draws targetting different occupational categories under the Skilled Worker, International Graduate stream. This also includes the Express Entry British Columbia (EEBC) option.

Manitoba
The province of Manitoba held its PNP draw on February 28. The draw complies with the regional government’s special immigration measures for Ukraine.
The province used its Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) to send 155 Letters of Advice to Apply to eligible candidates under this particular immigration measure.
This was in accordance with the IRCC’s exceptional immigration measures for people affected and as part of the Manitoba government’s response to the events in Ukraine.
Prince Edward Island
The province of Prince Edward Island held its PNP draw on February 29 and sent 24 invitations to apply. The province targeted candidates in two employment industries, i.e., construction and healthcare.
Since October 2023, this was the smallest PNP draw of PEI in terms of the number of labor and Express Entry invitations sent by the government.
It’s also notable that since November 2023, PEI has not held three PNP draws in a single month, and this was the first case.
Quebec
Provincial draw results of five Canadian provinces also include Quebec’s results. The province of Quebec has also published the results of the two draws that it conducted recently under its provincial immigration program.
Its first draw occurred on February 8 and another on February 22. The draws considered a separate candidate group, depending on different eligibility requirements.
Notably, Quebec does not have a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) because it has a unique agreement with IRCC. This gives it total control over its local economic immigration.
February 8
On February 5, Quebec’s Minister of Immigration, Francization, and Integration invited 1,034 candidates to apply. The province released its results on February 8.
To be eligible for an invitation under this draw, Candidates needed to satisfy the following eligibility criteria:

- They must have a score equal to or greater than 613 points.
February 22
Quebec released another draw result on February 22, after the February 8 draw. This draw invited another 1,007 candidates on February 19 to apply for permanent selection.
To be eligible for this draw, this candidate group is required to have a minimum score of 608. Also, they have to satisfy the following eligibility criteria:
- They must having a level 7 or higher oral proficiency in French per the Échelle québécoise des niveaux de compétence en français (Québec scale of French proficiency levels for adult immigrants) or its equivalent.
