Ontario and British Columbia shared their recent PNP draw results. The weekly Provincial Nominee Program draws for Ontario and B.C. occurred on June 17 and 18, respectively. Canadian immigration works on mutual terms between Canada’s provincial and federal governments. IRCC uses PNP to distribute a particular number of nominations to each Canadian province or territory. Furthermore, provinces, excluding Nunavut and Quebec, select the economic immigrants who are most suited to Canada’s labor force and economy.

Receiving a provincial nomination is different from gaining Canadian permanent residence. However, candidates who succeed in their provincial nomination applications will have better prospects of applying to IRCC for Canadian PR status.

Ontario

The Ontario Immigrant Nominees Program issued ITAs to candidates in three draws in just two days last week. It issued 402 invitations to eligible candidates. The first two draws took place on June 17. In one of the draws, 84 candidates received ITAs in the Employer Job Offer: International Student Stream.

This emerged as a targeted draw for candidates under the Early Childhood Educators and Assistants category. They had to fulfill a minimum score of 60 or above to get the invitation.

The second draw, which also took place on June 17, only issued ITAs to 106 Early Childhood Educators and Assistants under the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream. These candidates had to fulfill a minimum score of 39 or higher points to obtain an invitation.

Lastly, a draw on June 20 issued ITAs to 212 candidates under the OINP Stream: French-Speaking Skilled Worker Express Entry. This was a general draw, indicating no targeted occupations. The draw considered candidates with a score range between 305 and 409.
