Prince Edward Island invites more skilled workers. This is the fifth draw the Provincial Nominee Program has held in 2025.

The latest draw issued invitations to apply through the Labor Impact as well as PEI Express Entry pathways.

It targeted individuals working in professions and priority sectors based on the economic impact in the province.

Like most other provinces, PEI saw its nomination allocation halved in 2025. The province was allocated a total of 1,025 immigration spaces in 2025.

Based on the draw totals given on the PEI page, the province has issued 569 ITAs through its PNP in 2025. All the draws held this year have been from the Labor Market Category and PEI Express Entry streams.

On account of the limited number of nominations available, the PEI Office of Immigration is currently prioritizing skilled workers in higher-demand sectors:

  • Healthcare
  • Trades
  • Manufacturing

The province has also specified that those working in sales and service might not obtain an invitation to apply.

What Is Prince Edward Island’s Labor Impact Category?

Prince Edward Island invites more skilled workers. The PEI Labor Impact Category provides foreign nationals with a valid job offer with a pathway to permanent residency

It contains three streams:

  • The Skilled Worker Stream
  • The Critical Worker Stream
  • The International Graduate Stream

In order to be eligible, a foreign national must be between the ages of 21 and 59, have sufficient settlement funds, meet a Canadian Language Benchmark of 4, and have a full-time permanent employment offer from an eligible PEI employer.

Expressions of Interest are not the same as those of applicants. They are an indicator of interest in applying for the PEI PNP.

Applicants who submit an EOI and obtain an ITA can apply for nomination.

If nominated, they obtain 600 additional points toward their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score in the federal Express Entry system, greatly increasing their chances of being invited to apply for permanent residency (PR).
